The Oma pullover is what happens when your grandmother’s softest blanket turns into a cozy sweatshirt. Constructed from vintage kantha quilts - each piece is completely unique and can be worn with either side as the front or back. The mist colorway is overall neutral but subtle hints of color come through in the layers of textiles and detail stitching.
Kantha quilts are made from layers of discarded and preloved sari fabric carefully hand stitched together. These quilts in particular have been loved and worn and patched - meaning the pullovers will be the third life cycle for this textile! As such, signs of wear and repair are evident and part of what makes each piece so special and unique. That said, the sturdy cotton fabric and rows of stitching give strength and stability to the textile. It’s not a fragile fabric.
